Balint Eckhardt
An underground indie pop artist.
Tracks1
London based a singer-songwriter, Balint Eckhardt delivers personal songs of strangely familiar moments, by-products of an ongoing journey from the dance studio through design school, the film industry and trying-to-be-an-adult office jobs. Influenced by Phoebe Bridgers, The National, Pulp, and Hungarian alt-rock band Kispál és a Borz, Balint mixes folk storytelling with layered production and an indie pop feel. His debut single, 'Lucky Cat', co-produced by brother Barnabas Eckhardt and released on June 30th 2023, performs a post-crash autopsy on a relationship, driving you from the oyster farms of the Kentish coast to a London living room full of dying house plants and disposable memories. A cozy ride to an unforgiving beat of a freight train softened by a salty mist of ambient guitars, drip-feeding you scenes from a story that acknowledges: certain feelings can only be expressed in a synth solo.
