Beyond The Styx

Touring Europe since 2011, BTSTYX draws its inspiration from a musical universe that reflects our world: dark and violent. At the crossroads of Hardcore, Death Metal and Thrash crossover, the French quintet has unleashed the crowds at over 350 concerts (including 50 festivals), alongside renowned bands such as : Sepultura, Terror, Walls of Jericho, Malevolence & The Acacia Strain. While awaiting the release of their latest studio album : "DIVID" , (recorded and produced by Daan Nieboer: Hawser, Clench Your Fist, Adversary…), the French chimera expresses a profound, authentic and incisive desire to open minds to the ills that have plagued a modern society on its last legs for far too long. "Is our history an eternal recurrence?" This is BTSTYX's challenge: embody more than just a butterfly's wingbeat. Breathe the storm of change! To hit the road, regardless of the distance between tonight's gig and tomorrow's, To support every local scene so that Hardcore music exists today and tomorrow, To mobilize people around respecting difference, To invite everyone to question the erosion of values in the contemporary era so that our reality today doesn't become our new Hell tomorrow. In a world more divided than ever, BTSTYX surges forth like a torrent of raging live energy, sweeping everything away! "No more borders! Cross the river!"
