GRAMMY Award and Jazz FM Innovation award winners and independent artists Blue Lab Beats are a production duo (and fully live band) who expertly and fluidly fuse jazztronica, hip-hop, Afrobeat, soul and electronica, whilst representing a hungry and endlessly talented generation inspired by the forebears of jazz and the pioneers of hip-hop’s golden age, where musicality was a primary principle. Blue Lab Beats consist of multi-instrumentalist Mr DM and producer NK-OK. Amassing over 86 million streams, each of their four Album projects also has accompanying E.P's packed with both instrumental and vocal songs. Collaborations on their records include Kojey Radical, Tiana Major 9, Sampa The Great, IDK, Emmavie, Kofi Stone, Kiefer, Amber Navran, Jay Prince, Farah Audhali, Jaz Karis, Pip Millett, Flo Filz, BnnyHunna, Ben Jones, Ego Ella May & Fela Kuti family approved sample. Recent highlights include curating three Jazz sessions at The Elgar Room, headlining JazzReFest at the Royal Festival Hall for Jazz ReFreshed, performing in Brixton with DJ AG, jamming with Robert Glasper and Wyclef, headlining London's Jazz Cafe, and playing Milan's Jazz Festival. 2025 has mostly been about recording, working with artists and also their next album. The single 'North London Pace' will be independently released on 7th November 2025, an uptempo joyous instrumental with souring strings.
