Braths

Born in Paris in 1998 to a Sudanese mother and a Ukrainian father, Braths was immersed in music from a young age. His rich cultural heritage, shaped by Jewish and Muslim roots, has forged his identity as a multilingual European global citizen. A classically trained violinist, he began playing music at age four and now masters seven instruments, including violin, guitar, saxophone, bassoon, and piano. After moving to Berlin to study audio engineering and jazz composition, he quickly made a name for himself in the European hip-hop scene, collaborating with prominent artists such as Apache 207 , reezy , Kalash Criminel , and Symba . On Ephemeral Memory, Braths weaves together his wide-ranging influences into unique, atmospheric instrumental compositions that invite listeners to reflect on their own stories and emotions. Hip-hop producer and multi-instrumentalist Braths, also known as Thomas Horeczko, releases his debut album Ephemeral Memory with Sony Music a deeply personal project honoring his family’s history. The instrumental tracks reflect diverse places and emotions, aiming to revive forgotten memories. One piece, “Loango,” references a former slave port in present-day Republic of the Congo, symbolizing those who were taken and never returned. Braths captures “the essence of their journey, as many were carried by winds to unknown lands and legacies vanished like sea foam in the ocean’s depths.”
