An underground indie pop artist.
Caitlin Pinkess is an acoustic soul pop artist whose intimate songwriting explores themes of friendship, love, heartbreak and sisterhood. From southwest London, Caitlin's gentle acoustic arrangements and heartfelt delivery draw inspiration from Corinne Bailey Rae and Norah Jones, Caitlin's music feels like the warmth of sun on your face on a cozy autumn day. “It was a set to remember with harmonious vocals, vibrant synths, and lively hints of jazz.” - Whisper Magazine Caitlin started writing songs after hearing Carole King's "You've Got A Friend" in her mum's car at age eight. She stole her sister's guitar and taught herself to play. One of four sisters, one of whom is her twin, Caitlin has always been curious to uncover the beautiful complications of relationships with the people around her, building worlds of sisterhood and friendship in her songs: "I'm a starry eyed optimist with a reflective and romantic perspective on life". Caitlin furthered her musical education with singing lessons and by going to the Brit School, before completing it with a music degree from the University of Falmouth. Returning home to London, she appears regularly in clubs across the capital and has performed with Sofar Sounds as well as at festivals including the EFG London Jazz Festival and Boardmasters. Her music has won the support of BBC Introducing and is a perfect fit for fans of Lizzie McAlpine, Olivia Dean and Clairo.
