I’m Catalina Sophie, a German-Argentine singer based in Berlin. Born in Heidelberg and raised in Madrid, I grew up between European and Argentine cultures, and began singing at the age of ten. My music moves between contemporary jazz, soul, tango and Argentine folk music. In 2017, I released "Blue Tree", my debut album featuring my own compositions and arrangements, rooted in contemporary jazz. More recently, I have been exploring my Argentine heritage more deeply through tango. In 2025, I released "Cantar... siempre cantar", a tango album recorded with Cuarteto Nochero, featuring arrangements by Peter Reil. Today, I continue to develop both sides of my musical identity: creating and performing jazz, while bringing the music of Argentina and tango into my life and work in Berlin and beyond.
