Chikara Aoshima is a Berlin-based composer and drummer known for blending electronic sound design with acoustic performance and immersive visual concepts. A graduate of Berklee College of Music, he composed the full original soundtracks for two CAPCOM titles — Shinsekai: Into the Depths (featured at Apple WWDC, CEDEC Audio Award winner) and Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess (2024), which was nominated for the Game Music Award 2025 at the World Soundtrack Awards. Born in Hamamatsu, Japan, Aoshima began his career as a drummer and first gained international exposure performing at SXSW with the progressive rock band ZANZO. After moving to Berlin, he collaborated with pioneering artists such as Schneider TM, Ulrich Krieger, J Mascis, Ilpo Väisänen, BIGYUKI, Kyoka, and ermhoi. His work spans games, film, theater, and experimental media, including the award-winning short film Rotten Cats and multidisciplinary performances across Europe.
