Deadly Moussaka is a departure from modern tastes, turning towards a more morbid and dark form of Doom and Gothic mythology, paired with elements of Thrash Metal. This surreal-looking formation was founded in Berlin in 2019 under the protection of Hades, the god of the underworld. Their songs deal with traumas, depression, world pain, frustration, hate and fear. The sinister quartet captivates with catchy, disharmonious melody guitars that eat their way into the soul, an oppressive bass, tight drum beats, which sometimes lead to sluggish downtempo parts and vocals that alternates between hackneyed gothic vocals, harsh shouts, beefy growls and blasphemous Black Metal screams. The main influences of the band are My Dying Bride, Paradise Lost, Dark Fortress, Job For A Cowboy, Moonspell, Tiamat, Type O Negative, Septicflesh, Theatre of Tragedy, Metallica, The Ocean, Omega Massif, As I Lay Dying, Tallah and greek food.
