Dele Sosimi
Dele Sosimi was rhythm keyboard player for Nigerian Afrobeat creator Fela Kuti and his band EGYPT 80 between 1979-1986. He left to form The Positive Force with Fela’s son Femi Kuti. Now based in London and playing with his own Afrobeat Orchestra, expect nothing but the funkiest rhythm guitars, fiery percussion, call and response vocals and blazing horns, faithful to the original blueprint, but also clearly bears Dele's own DNA. He has performed worldwide, including at London’s Jazz café and South Bank, Joe Zawinuls Birdland in Vienna, Montreux Jazz Festival and Womad.
