Dirt Vibes

Luis Moreno is an LA based producer and a DJ cueing up an underground sound to every party. He goes by the alias Dirt Vibes and is a co-founder of the Forward Rhythm collective. Born and raised in Colombia, South America, he started playing percussion instruments at the age of 12 revolutionizing the way he perceives music. He relocated to the United States at age 15 and started out playing the guitar in rock bands, blues bands and jazz bands then branching off to other instruments like Drums, Bass guitar and Piano. He is known to have play at multiple clubs such as whiskey a go go, knitting factory and viper room. When the band scene wasn’t working out for him due to bands always breaking up, he always felt he had to start all over again. Thus, a new path was laid out for him. His new beginning –starting the path as a DJ. Today, he now DJ’s, produces and plays out at many bars and clubs such as Avalon, exchange, Pattern bar and union, also played for different collectives like Tech support, The 900 Block, Space taco, Bring the noise LA and many more. Appearances on radio stations such as Kxlu 88.9 and vandalay radio podcast as well as an appearance on Los Angeles city big summer event "Sunday Sessions". His sounds integrate percussion and groove heavily based on the underground House and Deep house music scene. Today, he is part of the LA underground Label LOW recordings and continues to strive among big underground names.
