Don Puglisi

Don Puglisi is a recording artist who came up musically responding to the grey urban landscape of Detroit where he played in various Indi rock bands. As time passed disillusionment set in and a new creative challenge was on the boil. Perhaps inspired by his musical heroes (Beck, Bowie and Freddie Mercury) who attended art school, he took a major detour to follow his creative instincts to New York City where he earned his degree in painting and sculpture. After several years of producing and exhibiting visual art, he began to feel the artworld was a bit elitist. As a result he returned to embrace the power of music once again, but with a heightened perspective: "Music is a superior artistic endeavor because it rides on the air we breath. Because of its accessibility and immediacy, music of all genres has the ability to transcend culture, gender and economic disparity which makes it a unifying factor and an instrument of community. " - Don Puglisi, 2020.

The goal is to share music and encourage a community of artists to do the same. I look forward to find new platforms to find the audience which craves new sounds, and sentiments that speak to their hearts. www.reverbnation.com/donpuglisimusic/... Www.don-puglisi.com @beck @The Grip Weeds
