An underground cold wave artist.
Londoner Nathalia Bruno has been releasing music under the alias DRIFT. for over a decade. In 2015 debut EP Black Devotion, a hazy blend of dream pop and synthwave was released by AVANT! Records. Pre-pandemic 2020 debut album Symbiosis released via Tapete Records explores themes of technology, solitude, and the relationship between humanity and machines. 11 Points In Time the second album released in 2023 via God Unknown Records takes the more left-field, esoteric path. Interpreting field recordings found on cassettes as well as poetry and journal entries left behind by disappeared artist Rosi Crucci. Now in 2026 what was once a woman and her synths now has now mutated into an electrifying quartet, a raucous attack of what has been described as glam-goth, rock n roll cabaret. It is with this new fierce and acerbic formation comprised of Max Oscarnold on guitar, Finn Kidd on drums and Lucy Lucifer on keys that Bruno recorded Violence For Your Furs. Nathalia croons stories of delusion, mythical spirits seeking revenge and takes you on a journey through London’s underworld. Violence For Your Furs comes out September 16th via God Unknown Records and will be available on all streaming platforms
DRIFT. plays a blend of cold wave, darkwave, and post-punk, incorporating elements of glam-goth and synth pop, as heard on releases like "Violence For Your Furs".
