Eli Gumble

Hi, I'm Eli, a solo artist from Hertfordshire, UK, who makes indie/emo/pop/experimental music, which is another way of saying that all of my songs sound different but contain a lot of energy with mostly sad undertones. Influences include Three Mile Island, France Gall, Owl City, Kimbra, Gotye, Lights, Ellie Goulding, Carly Rae Jepsen and Green Day. I started making music in 2012 when I bought a ukulele and started playing songs as a way of making friends at Tumblr meetups in London. In 2013, I discovered the Warwick University Bandsoc. I played on that circuit for 3 years, both as a soloist and in bands, eventually realising my dream of playing in the Warwick Battle of the Bands final in 2016 (and placing last). I recorded my first EP in a proper studio in 2014-15 after buying a recording package from a shady company as a rash post-breakup decision (an Impulse Purchase, if you will) and I finally released it on 22 June 2019. Things take time. I now host monthly hybrid gig and robot fighting nights in Stoke Newington under the name Rock & Robots. Come along, I assure you it's a lot of fun.
