Erotic Secrets of Pompeii

Erotic Secrets of Pompeii play wild, weird apocalyptic lounge music - a twisted amalgamation of angular art rock and transgressive post-punk. Their songs have received support from BBC Radio 6, Radio X and BBC Introducing. ESOP's music is populated by grotesque imagery and vivid symbolism, drawing from artists across different mediums, such as Terry Gilliam, Salvador Dali, Leonora Carrington, Francis Bacon, William Blake, Robert Anton Wilson and Leigh Bowery. The band released their debut EP, Trash Jugular, at the end of 2022 which was followed by a UK headline tour in early 2023. This was followed by a handful of appearances at major festivals including Shambala, Boomtown, Bearded Theory and the Great Escape, as well as support slots for Electric Six's 20th anniversary tour across the UK. The band released their debut album, Mondo Maleficum, to wide acclaim in January 2024. Their second album 'Pitchfork Libra' is OUT NOW. Tickets for their 2026 UK Tour are on sale now via Bandsintown and Songkick! "They are going to be as adored and revered as cult bands the Cardiacs and Virgin Prunes whilst having the potential to be Muse or Queen. Debut album Mondo Maleficum... is a masterpiece." - Louder Than War "They’re destined to be this generation’s Talking Heads." - Amplify The Noise
