FC Kahuna started out as two lifelong friends (Daniel Ormondroyd and Jonathan Nowell) playing records in basements. They released their debut album Machine Says Yes in 2002. Still close friends, Jonathan left to pursue other projects in 2007. Daniel continues to write and record under the name.
