An underground punk act from the local scene.
GUYM is a two-piece band from South London blending different elements of alternative rock with sharp, gritty vocals, pounding drums and crunchy riffs. With a sound that pulls from punk, noise-rock and emo influences, GUYM captures a sense of urgency and catharsis in their music. Their current set explores themes of personal reflection, frustration and self-empowerment through the theme of childhood cartoon characters in crisis. GUYM is the result of brothers Chris and Alex honing and refining 16 years of experience playing in various bands together. Recent performances supporting the likes of Regal Cheer, Sunday Best, Looseleaf and Upset Stomach have seen them compared to the likes of Fugazi, Blood Brothers and early Biffy Clyro.
