Hastings of Malawi is a pioneering British industrial and electroacoustic project that emerged from the early 1980s underground scene. Blending musique concrète, abrasive noise textures, and avant-garde sound manipulation, the group crafted challenging experimental works such as their debut album Vibrant Stapler Obscures Characteristic Growth. Their uncompromising sonic collages remain a cult touchstone for fans of early underground industrial music.
