Hugo Barriol is a french singer/songwriter who began his music career busking in Sydney, Australia. Back in Paris after a year of travelling, he won the Metro Music Awards in Paris in 2015 and recorded his debut EP in 2017, the single " On the Road - Radio Edit " hit more than 15 million streams. In 2019 his debut album Yellow produced by Ian Grimble (who’s worked with Bear's Den, Matt Corby, Mumford & Sons etc...) came out and Hugo played more than 40 shows/ Festivals all across Europe. 2020, during the pandemic Hugo released "Hey love " Ep, recorded with Ian Grimble a month before lockdown. 2022, Hugo comes back with a new song Self-produced in his Paris apartment, "Long way from home", inspired by the story of his friends. « My music sounds melancholic, sometimes sad but always hopeful. I write things I don’t want to talk about. I tell stories, It can be delicate, soft, sometimes tribal, I try to be always true in my songs. » Inspired by folk, pop, rock, indie, my music is a mix of it all.
