Through energetic rhythms and catchy hooks HYLUR´s music invites listeners to sing and dance their worries away. With a signature sound of guitar-driven rock fused with melodic pop. The Band formed in the small fishing town Stykkishólmur, Iceland. They released the self-titled debut album HYLUR (2023) which received strong radio support on Iceland’s leading rock station X977, gaining recognition as one of the leading voices on the Icelandic rock scene. Following standout appearances at Live at Leeds and Iceland Airwaves, the band have earned a growing reputation for their chaotic, high-energy live shows, winning over audiences with every performance. Their partnership with Leeds-based Monomyth Records marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter, strengthening the band's growing presence across both the UK and Iceland. With a UK and European tour planned for late 2026, HYLUR are quickly establishing themselves as one of Iceland's most exciting emerging guitar bands.
