Echoing her vision of electronic music in Brazil and worldwide for more than a decade, Amanda Chang's status quo demonstrates a peak of artistic maturity and clarity. After several seasons of sound synthesis research at La Siesta de Fauno Estudio, in Buenos Aires, the DJ from Rio de Janeiro based in Juiz de Fora/MG created the live acts project Chang Rodrigues, presented to the world by FACT Mag, in 2021, and which made its debut at Rock in Rio 2022. With a gender-neutral approach, and combining the Chinese surname inherited from their mother with the Brazilian one from their father, Chang Rodrigues is the result not only of years of study and learning, but also of self-discovery. Modular synthesizers mean for the artist the possibility of creating their own sounds, and thus, translating their feelings into art in the most raw, visceral, organic and sincere way possible.
