Imany is a voice you recognize instantly — deep, radiant, and full of truth. Of Comorian descent, she has become a standout figure on the French and international music scenes, blending soul, folk, and pop with rare intensity. Her name, meaning “faith” in Swahili, reflects her journey: a free woman who left modeling in New York to return to Paris and dedicate herself to music. Her 2011 debut album The Shape of a Broken Heart went platinum, with You Will Never Know becoming a breakthrough hit. She confirmed her global success with The Wrong Kind of War (2016), certified platinum in France and double platinum abroad. Around the same time, the remix of Don’t Be So Shy became a global hit, earning diamond status in France and eight times diamond internationally.
