Ingredient 10

Ingredient 10 is a genre-bending musical collective from OC and LA county born from mutual connections on social media and a shared love for the unpredictable beauty of sound. Melding the psychedelic vibes of The Doors, the smooth groove of The Carpenters, and the Latin rhythms of Rigo Tovar, the band creates an eclectic mix that’s hard to categorize but impossible to ignore. Formed by main vocalist and guitarist Jesus Salas, Ingredient 10 started as a group of musicians ranging from music majors to self-taught artists, united by their passion and unique musical influences. The early lineup included Paul Soultanakis on bass, Gary Galeas on keys, Valeria Campos on lead guitar, and Umar Mausoof on drums. Vanessa Aguilar joined as the second drummer shortly after and Aislinn Kelly from Her Magic Orchestra also joined on keys, making Ingredient 10 a 7-piece powerhouse for a short time. The band’s dynamic continued to evolve, with Laura Chavez stepping in on guitar and vocals after the departure of their former guitarist. With a blend of Latin rhythms, psychedelic rock, and a DIY spirit, Ingredient 10 is a celebration of experimentation and imperfection. Their music is not polished—it's alive, it's real, and it’s a sonic adventure that invites listeners to embrace the messiness of creativity.
