Intolerable Life (IL) is a minimal synthpop band based in NYC, with members originally from Uruguay and Dominican Republic. IL came together in 2020 as a result of societal chaos from the COVID pandemic. It is formed by Jean Lorenzo (Silent EM) and Melanie Giselle (NYC jazz vocalist, Ligeia, In The Future). Among their influences are the genres of punk, jazz, minimal synth and synthpop. They are currently working on their debut album to be released in 2026. IL's debut show will be in October in Brooklyn (Synthicide).
