Ivan Hartle

Born and raised in Vancouver, B.C., Ivan Hartle molds a vintage sonic aesthetic with modern elements. Pivoting from a successful US college baseball career into music, he’s been featured as an emerging artist by DailyHive Canada. His bluesy, soul singer-songwriter stylings are drawn from the classic sounds of Sam Cooke and Donny Hathaway, to contemporary artists like Son Little, Amos Lee and Leon Bridges. Ivan’s memorable live act is flush with melodic grooves and his timeless, warm vocals. Performing in notable festivals like Rifflandia, Phillips Backyard, Shipyards, Vancouver Jazz and NXNE, Ivan’s also toured most of Canada (Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Toronto + more), opened for artists like Jon and Roy and the Grammy award winning Cedric Burnside. Alongside CBC and the Netherlands' NPO radio 2 airplay, Ivan also has well over 11.5 million streams on Spotify, including various editorial placements (Blues Roots, Retro Soul, Mellow Morning + more).
