John Loveless

John Loveless is a DJ, producer and writer. Originally from the North West of the UK, he has been based in Berlin since 2015. As well as running his own Hot Concept imprint and party series, he works creatively alongside Erol Alkan at his long-running label Phantasy, as well as CWPT with Palms Trax, and has released music on both imprints. His 2022 single ‘Highdive’ alongside Gramrcy, was a club and festival hit featured in campaigns for both Moschino and Hugo Boss, and the pair continue to remix underground bands and producers including W.H. Lung, Discovery Zone and PYTKO. Loveless maintains radio residencies on both Refuge Worldwide and Cashmere Radio, where his long-running ‘Display Resolution’, which explores new and reissued electronic and alternative music, will reach a milestone 100th episode in 2025. In 2024, Loveless contributed to Techno Is Boring, a limited-edition photography book from Daniel Avery and Keffer, working closely with Avery to perfect the book’s contributing texts. As John Thorp, he has previously written about music regularly for The Guardian, Bandcamp and CRACK.
