Jordi Matas

After fifteen years without releasing his own music, Jordi Matas returns with Jordi Matas - I. Over the last 10 years, Matas has been behind some of the most important and personal albums on the Catalan scene, building sound universes alongside artists such as Ferran Palau, El Petit de Cal Eril, Anna Andreu, Gorka Urbizu, Jorge Drexler, Alizzz or Mar Pujol. Producer, musician, composer and sound engineer, his name has become a key piece of intimate, atmospheric and honest music, where each sound seems to have room to breathe. But while he was helping other artists find their voice, his own music had been put on hold. And it was born precisely from this return. 10 days alone in a house in La Segarra, surrounded by instruments, a few microphones and without much pretension beyond reconnecting with the pleasure of composing.
