Kanishka Sarkar

Born and raised in Kolkata/India, playing keyboard/Synthesizer since high school. One of the founding members of India’s one of the first vernacular Pop/Rock band Cactus ( https://open.spotify.com/artist/2PWPl2KNcCDDdhqT7vb2sR?si=hPl5Py0kQdaZSauFy6b_UQ ) , played 11yrs (more than 2000 concerts) and co-produced 3 albums. After leaving the band, producing music for indie films, commercials advertisements, album, audio post production. Films scores and commercial music, albums produced by Kanishka travelled/showcased to a number of international festivals, installations and distributed through international publishers like EMI (india), SaReGaMa India. Since 2012 - now, Formed live World-Electronica project Ashram with Kolkata based renowned singer/musician Arko Mukhaerjee! Since then, the project toured several EU countries and Indian subcontinents. www.findmyashram.com 2015 : Moved to Germany and started working out of Berlin.
