KNIGHTRESS, a violin-led metal band based in Paris, is the brainchild of violinist, singer, pianist, and composer Emily Palen. She fuses crushing rhythms with searing rhythmic and lead violin, clean and extreme vocals, and consciousness theory, creating a new voice within the genre and redefining the role of the violin as a core foundational instrument in metal music. KNIGHTRESS is completed by French musicians Leo Caviglioli (guitar), Waldo Losada (bass), and Prosper Duffours (drums), who bring depth, sophistication, and an irreplaceable brutality to the band’s performance. Their full-length album, “The Sentient Condition”, recorded with renowned French metal producer Francis Caste at Studio Sainte-Marthe, will be released in fall 2026. Their music is born from a relentless need to express the vast spectrum of human experience, while bearing witness to life’s cruelties, calling us towards our better natures.
