Layer Cake
Hi we are Layer Cake – the band you didn’t see coming like that dollop of tomato sauce in Paul Kelly’s gravy recipe. Our debut self titled EP to be released at the beginning of 2019 was produced, engineered and recorded by Matt Redlich (ball park music/ holy holy/emma louise), at Head Gap Studios and the Aviary in Melbourne. What came out has been compared to Brit rock favourites such as the Arctic Monkeys and The Kooks – however you can compare us to whoever you like, as long as they are incredibly more successful than us and we can live vicariously through an over fluffed complimentary comparison. Look out for our first self-acclaimed smash hit single, Keep Me Awake, full of sweetness and that extra tang. Hope you enjoy, and if not take a good hard look at yourself.
