Lily Dahab

Lily Dahab herself and her vita seem like a perfect example for a life with no labels or borders. Born and grown up in Buenos Aires, lived in Madrid and Barcelona, since a decade is based in Berlin where she started a new successful chapter in the World jazz music scene. The German critic baptised her as “the exceptional shimmering voice like honey” or “the one who, with her voice kisses". She composed and produced 3 albums now released in Germany. 2018- "Bajo un mismo cielo" (Herzog Records) "CD OF THE WEEK" in MDR Kulturradio & SWR2 - 2013- "Huellas" (Herzog Records), "CD OF THE WEEK" in MDR Kulturradio & SWR2 2010- "nómade" (Peregrina music) nominated "Best World Music Album" by the Association of German Critics (Preis der Deutschen Shallplattenkritik) and “Echo jazz”. -Lily Dahab was selected among hundreds of projects and bands by the German Parlament Musik Initiative, “Initiative Musik” to support the realisation of her second album “Huellas”. -“Bajo un mismo cielo” (2018, Herzog Records) was supported by the Cultural City of Hamburg. - Lily Dahab is well known mainly in the circuit of International Jazzfestivals not only in Germany but in Switzerland, Sweden & Lituania. Dahab is an active artist mainly touring and performing in Europe together with her jazz quartet, her music gives the listener a colourful kaleidoscope of sounds and moods.
