Lizki

Lizki is the solo project of songwriter and singer Lena Britzelmair, who moves in the electro-niche between alt-pop and hyperpop. Her sound is pervaded by various musical breaks that are pleasantly irritating and, together with her distinctive voice, merge into catchy songs. Her debut album Forward was released at the end of 2021 on Seayou Records and was described as a “dance on the ruins” (Plattentests) and the SZ asked: “How often can an artist burn to emerge even more dazzling from her own ashes like a Phoenix?” This was followed by international shows in Germany, Austria and the USA, e.g. Pianos New York City, Sommernachtstraum Olympiapark, Waves Festival, Poolbar Festival, with concert reviews like: “Lizki performs with unpretentious but unmistakable star potential” (SZ) and airplay and rotation on FM4, Radio Eins, BR Puls and Ö1, among others. Early 2023, Lizki attracted attention with "This Time I" by and with Ant Antic. The joint single was a foretaste of the collaboration between them for her new EP Easy, which was released later that year and celebrated with two headline tours in Germany and Austria. Thematically, it is about mental health and the thrill of losing yourself briefly in order to find yourself again - or as FM4 writes: “People are not clockwork, nothing runs in a linear fashion, especially not when the brain chemistry is partying again (...)”. Lizki is an act that is often difficult to pin down musically, which is precisely why she is so interesting.
