Louis Crosland is equal parts old soul and modern man. A singer-songwriter and guitarist from Edinburgh, Scotland, he draws on blues, soul, Americana and 1970s pop, pairing soulful vocals and expressive guitar playing with a cinematic world of faded hotels, empty ballrooms and old vinyl records. Beginning his career in 2016 with soul band Bourbon Street 5, Crosland has since established himself on the UK live circuit, supporting Eric Gales, Sugaray Rayford and The Cinelli Brothers and earning personal praise for his guitar playing from Rag’n’Bone Man. In November 2026, he is set to open for Curtis Salgado. In 2021, Crosland toured the UK with Hardwicke Circus, including performances in ten prisons, and featured on their subsequent live album, released in 2022. His debut solo EP, Quarter Century Soul, followed in 2024, produced by Idlewild’s Rod Jones at Edinburgh’s Post Electric Studios. After touring extensively with award-winning harmonica player Giles Robson and an appearance at the 2026 Edinburgh Jazz & Blues Festival, Crosland is now working towards his debut studio album, slated for release in 2027.
