An underground indie folk artist.
London-based singer-songwriter Luca Firth crafts indie-folk rooted in intimacy yet reaching toward something more expansive. Blending homespun production with sweeping arrangements, his songs explore self-reflection, human connection and the quiet hope found in uncertainty. His 2021 debut album A Year of Grace, recorded in his family home in rural Italy, quietly amassed over one million streams worldwide and introduced his distinctive DIY recording style. Since then, Luca has continued to refine his sound, developing a body of work that feels richer, cinematic and deeply human while preserving the warmth at the heart of his songwriting. A meditation on the fragile beginnings of new love, Silks marks a natural progression in Luca’s alternative folk sound. Written and largely recorded in his family home in Italy, the track retains the intimacy and warmth that defined his debut, while expanding into a richer, more cinematic world. Luca later collaborated with producer Oli Deakin (CMAT, Benjamin Francis Leftwich) to co-produce the track, blending DIY textures with sweeping arrangements. Where A Year of Grace introduced Luca’s tactile recording style, Silks reflects a growth in confidence. Performing with his evolving ensemble Luca Firth and The Big Eagle, he moves between stripped-back trio sets and expansive full-band arrangements, delivering immersive live shows that balance intimacy with quiet ambition. 🦅
