A nostalgic doom metal artist.
Now in their 13th year LUCIFER have cemented their place as one of contemporary heavy rock’s defining bands, always embodying a nihilistic dark, yet timeless return to the genre’s hard rock & proto heavy metal origins, confidently navigating between sonic tradition & their own unmistakable originality. At the heart of all this: Johanna Platow's haunting voice, ultra morbid lyrics peppered with pitch black, sharp humour & unwavering passion as a creative force that has solidified LUCIFERs reputation as one of todays leading bands, both as a ferocious live act & as a recording artist. Five critically acclaimed studio albums written in collaboration with artists like Nicke Andersson (THE HELLACOPTERS, ENTOMBED) & Gaz Jennings (CATHEDRAL) alongside many alone singles & illustrious collaborations featuring the likes of Bobby Liebling (PENTAGRAM) or Joakim Nilsson (GRAVEYARD), earned the band multiple music award nominations such as several Swedish Grammys, Swedish Radio P3 and Gaffa Price & international chart placements. Their latest album 'LUCIFER V' was released 2024 on Nuclear Blast Records. Once founding the band in Berlin, meanwhile based in Stockholm, Platow has now begun working on LUCIFER’s sixth studio album to be released in 2027. With over 300 shows under their belt LUCIFER has toured the world extensively across Europe, Japan, North & South America, including many festivals & has become heavy force on the stages of the world, the grim reaper always on her heels.
