Lunattack
An underground indie rock artist.
LUNATTACK a.k.a Barbara Duchow is a Hamburg & Toulouse based singer, songwriter and collaborating artist. Most of their songs are in the field of electro (H)art indie rock with ambient tendencies. With a background in performing arts, Lunattack crafts narratives in English, German, and French, with lyrics that explore the human capacity for transformation, drawing strength from pain, fear, and trauma. The name Lunattack symbolizes the power of the moon, the realm of our deepest emotions, combined with admiration for Massive Attack. Since her 2017 debut album Pont neuf and her self-released 2021 album Moon Kiss with the French band Elephant Memories, Lunattack has collaborated with a range of notable international artists and producers, including guitarist and songwriter Lone Kent, DJ Toneaffair, singer-songwriter SITARA and musician Dan Easley. Lunattack also has been a regular resident at Peter Gabriel’s prestigious Real World Studios. During her residencies, she developed new music alongside artists such as Jacqueline La, Graham George, Dana Harlow, Birgit Fischer, DeePhi Music and the renowned studio musicians like Georgie Ward (Dua Lipa), Adrian Utley (Portishead), Katie May (Engineer for Peter Gabriel), and Justin Adams (Robert Plant). For over 25 years, Lunattack has performed at charity events, including the Enorock Festival for children at Le Metronum in Toulouse, and special concerts in support of Doctors Without Borders in Hamburg.
