A nostalgic, underground shoegaze artist.
Marina Yozora is a dream pop–shoegaze singer-songwriter known for her seraphic, cascading vocals and dreamily reverbed guitar work. Born in Japan, she grew up internationally; living in the United States from ages 1 to 7, Vietnam from 15 to 18, and spending the rest of her life in Japan, before settling in London, UK. For her previous singles of “Watermelon Pink Blue Skies”, “Daffodils”, and “Touché”, she has received support from Shoegaze Blog and White Light White Heat, alongside airplay on KEXP’s Pacific Notions and stations across the US, UK, and beyond. She has performed in London, Glasgow, Leicester, as well as internationally in Rome, Lisbon, and a Tokyo headline show which was sold out. She has also performed in Manchester’s HYPER JAPAN Festival 2025, and had sold-out her London headline show during Independent Venue Week 2026 in January this year. She recently supported Pink Breath of Heaven for their London show in their UK tour. And on 5th June, she has released a powerful single "Snow Heat" which expressed the connection with someone that now exists only in memory. It will be released through multiple versions throughout the next months. "Navigating the ethereal, liminal space between shoegaze, dream pop, and the left-field, London-based creative Marina Yozora champions an aural panorama that’s incredibly expansive, lush, and hazy, with reverb-soaked vocals layered over equally spacious sonic goodness." — Mesmerized
