Matilda Finn Frances

Matilda Finn Frances is a Cornwall-born artist whose haunting vocals, intimate folk arrangements and introspective lyrics capture the beauty of life lived on the edges. Raised on the North Coast of Cornwall, Matilda spent years finding solace in music while hiding her own voice away, before finally stepping into the spotlight with her original material. Following a series of covers and a growing reputation across the South West live scene, Matilda makes her debut with “This Could Be Anywhere” - an ethereal folk track built around delicate acoustic guitar, lush strings and her spellbinding vocals. A song about self-belief, identity and finding the courage to be heard, it marks the beginning of an artist embracing her own voice. Inspired by the landscapes of Cornwall and encouraged by her musician father, Matilda’s songwriting explores belonging, change and the search for where we fit. With early support from Steve Lamacq, Jo Whiley and Love Island. She has continued to build momentum on the live circuit, recently supporting The Maccabees at the Eden Sessions and set to support Rhys Lewis on 8 September and Rae Morris on 23 September. She is now sharing the music she once kept hidden with the world.
