An underground indie rock artist.
Mel is a genre-blurring singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist & award-winning composer based in Los Angeles. She's written music for film, TV, dance & trailers, including work for Lionsgate, Oscilloscope, Warner Brothers, Universal, Atlus Games, PBS & Independent Directors. Her work has premiered at SXSW, Tribeca, Slamdance, Fantasia & more. Frontwoman for the former band Merō, she has also toured globally, arranged parts for & recorded with bands like Sleater-Kinney, Other Lives, Alexandra Savior, Rose Droll, Sun June and Whitney. Guérison grew up playing classical violin, guitar, piano & singing and was invited on her first international tour with an orchestra at the age of fourteen. She toured throughout college while earning her degree in music performance, concentrating in music theory, arranging, voice, classical guitar, piano & drums. While classically trained, Guérison is more interested in the imperfection and sounds that can come from blurring the lines and seeing what unfolds.
