With a mix of various cultural influences, from Pfaffenhofen, through Munich to Krakow, where Michael Kornas studied at the Academy of Music and is now an integral part of the local jazz scene, he has found his very own sound between Bavarian beer and Polish dumplings. It can be assigned to the modern jazz category. Together with award-winning and well known musicians from the Polish jazz scene, the Michael Kornas Quartet was created. The focus here is on empathy for music. Different musical concepts, memorable melodies, as well as new timbres merge into each other forming an authentic work that will leave the listener touched and inspired. Michael Kornas is the winner of the ''Transatlantyk Instant Composition'' 2020 contest and currently lives and works in Berlin.
