Montezuma
Montezuma is a music group from Berlin blending influences from all over the world with the electronic music sound they experienced growing up in the vibrant rave scene in east Germany. Their approach of combining organic sounds and acoustic instruments with driving grooves has brought them a long way: from an experimental start, through downtempo and melodic techno to the current sound of organic fiesta groove. Montezuma has released on labels such as HotMeal Records, GRÜV, MamaToldYa and their self-founded and run label Parides Collective. Apart from their own productions the group has developed a unique live performance combining a DJ set with live bongo, guitar and saxophone parts that lead to a mesmerizing experience. Their musical development is represented in a three-hour set at Fusion Festival that combines works from earlier years with the present productions and stands out as one of the biggest moments in their journey.
