Moody Idaho's particular fusion of mercurial bog rock provides an intimately psychedelic backdrop for the poetic lyricism of the lead singer Grace. Fans of Mazzy Star will find comfort in the ephemeral shoegaze vibes, while 90s kids would not be at fault for recognizing vestiges from the pre-aughts grunge era. At times uplifting and effervescent, other times sultry and dour, Moody Idaho brings a cutting, brooding twist to PNW indie-rock.
