An underground jazz artist.
Inspired by Afrobeat, Jazz, and Dub, the instrumental collective Namay Kush creates a new immersive atmosphere with every song – inviting listeners to dive deep. The Swiss group’s music is experimental and virtuosic, yet remains accessible, fresh, and consistently groove-oriented. In 2023, the tight-knit rhythm section of Samuel Brunner (guitar), Thomas Horat (bass) and Luis Greipl (drums) was joined by Luis’ father Roger Greipl (saxophone) to form Namay Kush. Recorded in 2024, Namay Kush are now in the process of releasing their self-titled debut EP, “Namay Kush”, marking the first official document of their evolving sound. In February 2026, the band will travel to Ghana for a month-long artistic residency, growing through exchange with local musicians, including rehearsals, recordings and live performances.
