They have had on-stage guests such as gender legends @Tony Allen, @Oghene Kologbo, @Femi Kuti and @Seun Kuti , performing shows in major musical festivals and gigs through Chile, Brazil, Nigeria, USA, Canada and Europe. After their successful first homonymous album Newen Afrobeat and the popular EP Newen Plays Fela, the band surprise us with an stunning release: LP Curiche, integrating Africa and Latin America in a electric and groovy way. Nowadays their are promoting their second EP named “Newen Plays Fela II”, a new Fela Kuti tribute which includes two of his classic songs performed in a very Newen-like style, including a featuring with Seun Kuti in Zombie and with an special studio version available on youtube.
