NoMBe is back with DIÁSPORA, an Afro-Psychedelic excursion, ripe with 60’s and 70’s nostalgia. While his 2024 EP, NOAH, maintained the unique singer-songwriter feel the artist is known for, his 3rd full-length album, DIÁSPORA, marks an evolution by diverting Disco, Chill-Wave, Latin Fusion and Soul, seamlessly. After quietly collecting over 1 billion streams and unanimous critical praise, the German-born, multi-instrumentalist absorbed energy from 60+ years of Black Music and pays homage by delivering a vibrant, vital, and somehow original vision. The result is the entirely self-produced album, DIÁSPORA. [via Position Music] While working on the album, he wrestled with the aftermath of a tumultuous breakup, his subsequent move to Hawai’i and travels through South America. Here, he turned uncertainty into solace by wholly immersing himself in the music, especially Brazil of the 1960’s and 70’s.
