An underground bossa nova act.
Novos Londrinos are a Brazilian-inspired band based in London. Cláudia, Jackson, Jonny, Gio and Rachel first met through house jams and samba sessions, brought together by a shared love of bossa nova, samba and MPB. Their sound draws on artists like Marcos Valle and Elis Regina, alongside contemporary names such as Bala Desejo and Tim Bernades. The influence of 70s legends Novos Baianos - in name and in spirit - runs throughout their music. They've been playing their high-energy live set across London, at venues including the Jago, Doña, Jamboree, Grow Hackney and Paper Dress Vintage, and performed at Glastonbury Festival last year. Their debut EP, recorded at Giant Wafer Studios and Abbey Road Studios, is out this year, and they've recently been selected to perform at London Jazz Festival.
Novos Londrinos play a vibrant mix of bossa nova, samba, and MPB inspired by 70s Brazilian sounds and recorded at Abbey Road Studios.
