Hi, it’s Michael here. NZCA LINES is my musical project, born out of a love for 90s RnB, synthesisers, vocal harmonies and science fiction. The name NZCA LINES references the Nazca Lines, Peruvian geoglyphs that can only be seen from the air. I released my first EP ‘Nazca’ on Tokyo’s Big Love records in 2011, and since then have released three records, ‘NZCA/LINES’ (2012), ‘Infinite Summer’ (2016) and 'Pure Luxury' (2020). I have also recorded with Christine and the Queens on her 2016 debut ‘Chaleur Humaine’ and her 2020 single 'People, I've been sad', as well as recording and touring with Metronomy for several albums.
NZCA LINES creates retro-futuristic synth-pop, characterized by a blend of 90s R&B influences, synthesizers, and vocal harmonies, often featuring lush electronic arrangements.
