Paycheque is the synth-pop duo of Allison Goldfarb and Jackson MacIntosh. Their self-titled debut album, coming in 2026, documents life at the margins of post-pandemic Los Angeles: limited resources, long nights, and a sense of romantic longing propelling them forward. Written and recorded together at home using hardware synthesizers, the record draws from the hook-heavy elegance of OMD and New Musik, with an eye toward timeless classic songcraft filtered through sonic experimentation. Boy-girl vocals trade perspective over drum machines, cinematic synths and guitars indebted to UK jangle and new wave.
