osaka sun are a Southern England based trio crafting lush, guitar-driven songs that move effortlessly between 90’s shoegaze, dream pop & jangly indie. Formed as a creative meeting point for musicians from across the southern indie scene. osaka sun brings together: Sam Ruthen (Wave Chase, live musician for: Dutch Criminal Record, Small Talk & REA) Mickey Golicher (Wave Chase, Small Talk & live guitarist for Matisse Moretti) & longtime collaborator Oscar Anscomb (Rasco & award-winning composer for short film: Score). After years of writing and performing together, Ruthen and Golicher founded osaka sun as a space to explore their shared love of artists like DIIV, My Bloody Valentine, Beach Fossils, Alvvays, American Football and early Coldplay. Blending reverb-soaked guitars, melodic basslines, and introspective lyrics into a sound that feels both nostalgic and new.
