Our Own Yokos - made up of guitarist/vocalist Shaun Gold, bassist Brian Buchanan, and drummer Cole Rice - is one of New York City’s leanest and meanest power trios. Shaun, Brian, and Cole have spent significant time honing their craft and recording in the vibrant Staten Island music scene, releasing their debut single “Sir Chunk '' in February 2023 and premiering the track on Staten Island’s Maker Park Radio. Likened to “a speeding bullet train rocketing down the California coastline” (Vents Magazine), Our Own Yokos feature gritty vocals, tight guitars, a bombastic rhythm section, and three pals that just love making music together. From the Bitter End in New York City, to the streets of Ontario, Canada, listeners are constantly blown away by the group’s live prowess, which has become a talking point in the 5th borough and beyond. “All we want to do is write songs we want to hear, and be who we are,” says Shaun. “We’re a rock band, we just love what we do, and we hope that rubs off on those that choose to rock with us.”
