Philippe Jochaud

I'm a French pianist and composer based in Spain. Music reached me early, but the piano only became mine once I accepted that what I really loved was improvising and following my own ideas. La Famille is my first album — my first finished body of work. It was written as my family was growing, which is where the title comes from. Most pieces started from a family member, a situation or a place, and over the past few years this music has lived with us like another member of the household. Now it's leaving the house.
